Example order: 10 gummy jars and 4 sports creams cost $368 wholesale, ship free, and retail for $610. That is $242 in gross profit, a 39.7% margin.
Case Study: DJ's Pharmacy
DJ's Pharmacy in Cary, North Carolina has been a Kyoto Botanicals account since 2020, and it is the oldest account I have. Gummies have been its core order. When I moved the gummies from a 25 count jar to a larger 30 count jar in 2024, the pharmacy kept reordering. The pharmacist and co-owner, Alfred Catolico, wrote this for me in August 2022:

Case Study: A Family Medicine Clinic
In November 2025 a small, privately owned family medicine clinic contacted me. It had carried CBD for years, including gummies, a full spectrum oil, and a topical roll-on, but its supplier was out of state and the clinic was worried it would lose access under the new federal hemp THC law. A patient who already used my products had recommended me. I stopped by the office with samples, and the clinic ordered gummies, tinctures, and sports cream in December 2025. Some payment processors restrict CBD sales no matter how a product tests for THC. One of my longtime pharmacy accounts had to stop selling CBD because its processor told it to. Ask yours before you stock any CBD.

THC-Free, and the Lab Reports to Prove It
I don't like THC and I don't want to get anyone high, so Kyoto has been built THC-free since launch. Every batch is tested by SC Labs and ACS Laboratory, and every batch reads non-detect (ND) for every THC variant, with a detection limit of 0.0002%, which is 0.002 mg per gram. Each product carries a lot number you can match on our lab results page, and I personally review every report before anything ships.
Federal hemp law is moving to a total THC standard that counts THCA, with a cap of 0.4 mg of total THC per finished container. Our batches are tested with that in mind. State and local rules, including your state board of pharmacy, still apply, so please check yours. The hemp is US grown, and the tincture is USDA certified organic. The other products are not.

Pharmacies that buy from Kyoto Botanicals mostly stock the CBD gummies, which are $24.00 wholesale and $39 suggested retail, a 38.5% retailer margin. Gummies make up about 72% of what pharmacies order from me, and the sports cream is next at about 20%.
What is in the gummies?
Each jar is 30 count with 750 mg CBD per jar, 25 mg of CBD per gummy. They test ND for every THC variant on every batch, and the lot number on the jar matches the lab report on our lab results page.
Will my payment processor allow me to sell CBD?
That depends on your processor, not on the product. Some payment processors restrict CBD sales no matter how a product tests for THC. One of my longtime pharmacy accounts had to stop selling CBD because its processor told it to. Ask yours before you stock any CBD.
