Before You Order: Check Your Payment Processor
Some payment processors restrict CBD sales no matter how a product tests for THC. One of my longtime pharmacy accounts had to stop selling CBD because its processor told it to. Ask yours before you stock any CBD.
Why Work With Me Directly
I'm Mark Gillilan, founder of Kyoto Botanicals. I started as a USGS wildlife biologist, earned a BA in Biology from CU Boulder and an MBA from the University of Michigan, and spent years in consumer products at Nestle and Atkins. In 2017 and 2018 I was Director of Marketing at Charlotte's Web, where I managed FTC and FDA claims review and packaging compliance and launched topicals and gummies. I started Kyoto in 2019 and launched the brand in February 2020. I take every wholesale call, pack every order, and review every lab report myself, so the person who answers your question is the person who made the decision.
The Sample Bottle Is What Makes It Sell
The single biggest lever I've seen is one open sample bottle where patients can try it. One of my newest accounts, a chiropractor, set out a sample of the sports cream in the exam room. It is now selling well, and the cold-therapy gel they had stocked for years sat on the shelf. I recommend every new account buy one extra unit to keep open, and I also send samples to qualified clinics and stores on request.
THC-Free, and the Lab Reports to Prove It
I don't like THC and I don't want to get anyone high, so Kyoto has been built THC-free since launch. Every batch is tested by SC Labs and ACS Laboratory, both ISO/IEC 17025 accredited, for cannabinoids, pesticides, heavy metals, residual solvents, mycotoxins, and microbials. Every batch reads non-detect (ND) for every THC variant on the report, with a detection limit of 0.0002%, which is 0.002 mg per gram. Non-detect means below what the lab's instruments can measure, not mathematically zero. For a 4 fl oz sports cream, that works out to at most about 0.3 mg of total THC per container, even if delta-9 THC and THCA were both sitting right at their limits. Each product carries a lot number you can match on our lab results page, and I personally review every report before anything ships. I once rejected a batch because the testing and bottling dates were out of order.
Federal hemp law is moving to a total THC standard that counts THCA, with a cap of 0.4 mg of total THC per finished container. Our batches are tested with that in mind. State and local rules still apply, so please check yours. The hemp is US grown, and the tincture is USDA certified organic. The other products are not. Kyoto Botanicals products are hemp-derived and test ND for every THC variant on the lab report. Federal hemp law is moving to a total THC standard with a 0.4 mg per container cap, and our batches are tested with that in mind. Please check your own state and local rules.
What is the minimum wholesale order?
Kyoto Botanicals has no minimum wholesale order. Orders over $250 ship free, and smaller orders pay $25 shipping.

Do you offer private label?
No. I sell Kyoto Botanicals products under our own brand only.

You get a clinic code that gives your clients 10% off, and I pay you 20% of the net sale after the discount on online orders placed with it. I pay out once a month. Please tell clients that the code earns your clinic a commission.
