I put cost per mg in the table on purpose. Percent off tells you almost nothing in CBD, because a 50% off bottle with half the CBD is the same deal as no discount at all. Divide the price by the total mg of CBD in the package and you can compare any two products, any two brands, any two sizes. Why Bundles Are Not in the Sale (and Why You Still Come Out Ahead)

Bundles and stacks are already priced below buying the products one at a time, so they are not part of the sale. During Black Friday you actually do better buying the singles. How to Tell if a Black Friday CBD Deal Is Real

I have been in the CBD industry since 2017, first as Director of Marketing at Charlotte's Web and then building Kyoto Botanicals myself. Black Friday is when this category gets the most creative with its math, so here is the checklist I would use if I were shopping any brand this weekend.

1. Do the cost per mg math. Price divided by total mg of CBD in the package. A big percent off a weak product can still cost more per mg than a small discount on a strong one.
2. Check the before price. If a brand raised its prices in October, or shows a compare-at price nobody ever paid, the percent off is fake. A real sale is a discount off the price they charge the rest of the year. Here is how I set our prices and why they do not jump around.
3. Read the serving size on gummies. Some brands list 25 mg per serving where one serving is two gummies, so each gummy is really 12.5 mg. Ours are 25 mg per gummy, one gummy per serving.
4. Match the lab report to your batch. A certificate of analysis (COA) should match the lot number on the package and be recent. A single old report on the website for every batch is not the same thing. You can match any Kyoto Botanicals lot number on our lab results page.
5. Look for ND, not just under 0.3%. Full spectrum products are allowed to have some THC, and if you take a few servings it adds up (I wrote about the math in Will CBD Make You High?). Every THC variant on our reports reads non-detect (ND).
6. Read the fine print on shipping. A great price with a $75 free shipping line is not a great price on a $40 order. Ours is free at $40 or more.

THC-Free CBD Deals and the December Hemp Rule

This year there is one more reason to read the lab report before you stock up. On December 11, 2026 the federal definition of hemp changes to a total THC standard, with a cap of 0.4 mg of total THC per container. A lot of full spectrum CBD on the market was never formulated with that number in mind, so if you are buying a few months of any CBD this weekend, check the total THC per container on its COA first.
