CBD Price per mg Calculator: What Your CBD Really Costs per Day
Cost per mg is where CBD pricing starts, not where it ends. This calculator takes the price and total CBD of up to three products and shows what each one really costs you per day and per month at your dose, how long it lasts, and what shipping and subscriptions do to the number. It also shows where each product falls against the CBD gummies and oils we track.
CBD price calculator
Only price and total CBD are needed. Everything else is optional and makes the answer more real.
How it works: cost per mg is the price divided by the total CBD in the product. Cost per day is your dose times the cost per mg, rounded up to whole (or half) gummies or softgels. Shipping is added when the price is under the free shipping amount. A month is 30 days. Other brands in the tracked set were checked on October 24, 2026.
How to Use the CBD Price Calculator
- Enter your daily dose. The amount of CBD you take in a day, in mg. If you are not sure yet, 25 mg is a common place to start.
- Enter the price and the total CBD for each product. Use the total CBD in the whole bottle or jar, not the amount per serving. You can also pick one of ours from the list and it fills in with today's price.
- Open the optional box if you want the real number. Add the mg per gummy or softgel so the calculator can round your dose to whole pieces, plus shipping cost, the free shipping amount and any subscription discount.
Why CBD Cost per mg Is Not the Whole Story
Cost per mg is the fairest way to compare two CBD products, and I use it everywhere on this site. But you do not take CBD by the milligram. You take it in gummies, softgels and droppers, and that is where the real cost shows up.
Your Dose and the Size of the Gummy
Here is a real example from our gummy comparison. A 30 count jar of 50 mg gummies for $69.99 works out to about 4.67 cents per mg, which is less per mg than our 25 mg gummies at 5.20¢. If you take 25 mg a day and cut those gummies in half, that is about $35 a month, a bit less than ours. If you do not cut them, you are taking 50 mg a day whether you need it or not, and the same jar costs about $70 a month and lasts 30 days. Same product, double the monthly cost.
Shipping on Small CBD Orders
Free shipping across the brands we track starts anywhere from $40 to $75. If you are buying one bottle under that line, the shipping is part of what you paid for that CBD.
CBD Subscription Discounts
A lot of brands price the one-time bottle higher so the subscription looks like a deal. Enter the discount and you can see exactly what it is worth per month, then decide if the commitment is worth it to you.
Big Bottle vs Small Bottle Pricing
Most brands drop the price per mg as the bottle gets bigger. That is fine if you already know you like the product. If you are trying something new, you are paying more up front for a bottle you might not finish. I call the higher per mg price on small bottles the Small Bottle Tax, and I break it down in my CBD pricing audit.
How to Find the Total CBD on a Label
- Total CBD: usually on the front of the bottle or jar as mg per bottle. If the label only lists mg per serving, multiply it by the servings per container.
- Oils: if you only see mg per mL, multiply it by the mL in the bottle. A 30 mL bottle at 50 mg per mL holds 1,500 mg.
- Gummies and softgels: check the Supplement Facts label for the serving size. Some brands list two gummies as one serving, so 25 mg per serving can mean 12.5 mg per gummy.
- Price: use the one-time price, then add a subscription discount separately if you want to compare.
How Kyoto Botanicals Prices CBD
Every one of our products sits between 5.2 and 5.5 cents per mg at the one-time price: our gummies are 5.20¢, the Organic Mint CBD Oil is 5.44¢, the Orange CBD Oil is 5.27¢, the softgels are 5.27¢ and the sports cream is 5.50¢. There is no subscription and no cheaper rate for buying a bigger bottle, so the first bottle gets the same price as the tenth. The full story of why I set it up that way is in my pricing audit.

CBD Price per mg FAQ
How do I calculate CBD price per mg?
Divide the price by the total mg of CBD in the whole product, not the mg per serving. A $50 bottle with 1,000 mg of CBD works out to 5 cents per mg. Our gummies are $39.00 for 750 mg, which is 5.20¢ per mg.
What is a good price per mg for CBD?
Across the 22 CBD gummies and oils we track from 8 brands, one-time prices ran from 2 to 8 cents per mg when we checked them on October 24, 2026. The calculator on this page shows where any product you enter falls in that set.
How much does CBD cost per month?
Multiply your daily dose by the price per mg, then by 30. At 25 mg a day and 5.2 cents per mg, that is about $1.30 a day, or about $39 a month. The calculator does this for you and adds shipping and subscription discounts if you enter them.
Why is cost per mg not the whole story?
Because you take CBD in servings, not in single milligrams. A 50 mg gummy can be cheaper per mg than a 25 mg gummy and still cost you more each month if you only need 25 mg and cannot split it. Shipping on a small order and subscription pricing change the real number too.
Is a bigger bottle always the better deal?
Bigger bottles are often cheaper per mg, but you pay more up front for a product you may not have tried. Check the cost per mg on the smaller size before you assume the big one is the deal.
Is it cheaper to subscribe to CBD?
At many brands the subscription price is lower than the one-time price. Enter the subscription discount in the calculator to see the difference per month, and check how easy it is to cancel before you sign up.
Does shipping change the price per mg?
Yes. If your order is under a brand's free shipping amount, the shipping cost is part of what you pay for that CBD. The calculator adds it when you enter the shipping cost and the free shipping amount.
