CBD Edibles

CBD Edibles FAQ

What are CBD edibles?

CBD edibles are any CBD product you eat or swallow, like gummies, softgels, chocolates, or drinks. Instead of holding an oil under your tongue, the CBD is absorbed through your digestive system. Our CBD edibles are gummies and softgels, both pre-measured so you know exactly how much CBD you are getting in every serving.

Will CBD edibles get you high?

No. CBD does not cause a high on its own. Every batch of our CBD edibles is tested by an independent lab and comes back non-detect for THC, the compound in cannabis that causes a high. You can read more in our guide on whether CBD can get you high.

How long do CBD edibles take to kick in?

CBD edibles take longer than an oil because they go through your digestive system first. Most people notice our gummies within 45 to 90 minutes, and our softgels within 1 to 2 hours. Taking them with food (especially something with a little fat) can change the timing, so give it a few days to learn how they work for you.

How long do CBD edibles last?

Edibles are slower to start but tend to last longer than an oil taken under the tongue. How long really depends on the person, metabolism and body weight both play a role, so pay attention to how you feel over a few days rather than a single serving.

How much CBD should I take in an edible?

Start low and stay consistent. If you are new to CBD, start with one 25mg gummy a day for a week. If you are not noticing anything, add a little more and hold there for another week, and keep going until you find what works for you. Our 50mg softgels are a good fit once you know you want a stronger serving. For more on this, read our guide on how to start taking CBD.

When is the best time to take a CBD edible?

Whenever you will remember to take it every day, since consistency matters more than timing. A lot of people take a gummy in the morning or midday, and our softgels slide right in with the vitamins you already take. If you are taking CBD as part of an evening wind-down routine, take it 30 to 60 minutes before bed.

What are the side effects of CBD edibles?

Most people take CBD without issues, but the side effects people report most are drowsiness, dry mouth, an upset stomach, and changes in appetite. CBD can also interact with some prescription medications, so talk to your doctor or pharmacist before you start, especially if you take any medication. CBD is not for anyone under 21, or during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Can CBD edibles help with pain or anxiety?

We can not tell you CBD treats pain, anxiety, or any condition, and I would be careful with any brand that does. Research on CBD is still ongoing. What I can tell you is that people use our edibles as part of a daily routine for overall balance, a sense of well-being, and managing daily stress. For sore muscles, a topical like our (re)CHARGE CBD Sports Cream goes right where you need it (I use it after every run). If you have a health condition, talk with your doctor first.

Do you have sugar-free CBD edibles?

Yes. Our CBD softgels are sugar-free, and they were made partly because so many people asked us for a sugar-free option. Our CBD gummies have only 2g of organic cane sugar per gummy, with no high-fructose corn syrup or artificial sweeteners.

Are your CBD edibles vegan and gluten-free?

Our CBD gummies are vegan (made with plant-based pectin) but contain wheat, so they are not gluten-free. Our CBD softgels are gluten-free but not vegan, since the softgel shell is made with bovine gelatin.

Can I give CBD edibles to my dog?

No. Our CBD edibles are made for people, not pets, and we do not sell pet products. If you are thinking about CBD for your dog, talk to your vet first.

Will CBD edibles show up on a drug test?

Our edibles test non-detect for THC, but no CBD brand can promise you will pass a drug test, us included. If there is any chance you will be drug tested, do not take CBD. For the full picture, read our guide on CBD and drug testing.

Are CBD edibles travel-friendly?

Yes. They are non-liquid, so there are no messy droppers and nothing to measure, just a pre-measured 25mg gummy or 50mg softgel. Always check local and state regulations where you are headed.

Where can I buy CBD edibles near me?

You can buy our CBD edibles right here on our site, with free shipping on orders of $40 or more. We are also carried by a handful of acupuncture, chiropractic, and wellness practices, listed on our where to buy page. We do not sell on Amazon or any other online marketplace.

Do CBD edibles expire?

Yes. Our gummies have a 2-year shelf life and our softgels have a 3-year shelf life from the date they were made. Check the best by date on your bottle, keep it sealed, and store it in a cool, dry place. Our guide on CBD shelf life has more tips.
